mikaela lucido was born in Manila, Philippines on a Wednesday. In 2002, she immigrated to Mississauga, Canada with her family. Her words have been featured in Ricepaper Magazine, Living Hyphen, Layered Butter, Augur Magazine, Cambio & Co., Goalcast, Savant-Garde Literary Magazine, and S.M. Beiko’s Gothic Tales of Haunted Futures. She graduated with an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing & Publishing at Sheridan College. Lucido was the 2021 recipient of Sheridan College’s Ampersand Award. Her debut novel, Danica Dela Torre, Certified Sleuth, will be published by Annick Press in September 2024.
